There is a raging storm outside, in the middle of spring. Flowers will blossom soon enough. A man went back to his almost always empty apartment, clumped with dishes in the sink, scattered clothes on the couch, and weirdly placed dirty coffee mugs, and grabbed a blank canvas. For the last couple of years, every day, every month, felt the same. Somewhat considered decent, lonely, and cold. Until it didn't. A girl with warm coffee-like brown eyes has been waking up every day to have the cold seep through her bones, her legs tangled between blankets, her favorite one engulfing her torso as each day turned into night and night turned into morning. Everything felt as insignificant and ephemeral as the storm raging outside the safety of her home. Until it did not.
