After almost dying in a car crash, Madeleine Whitestone returns back to Houston, Texas to live with her ex-husband - James (right hand to the leader of one of the most popular mafia gangs in the state), so that he can take care of her and their 8-year old daughter - Julia. The two have been divorced for two years after the mafia life finally got in their way. With her back, James has to find a way to navigate his life and his job, while protecting them and investigating the origin of the crash (because he is certain it was planned). What's going to happen if he finds out someone tried to murder the love of his life? Or when that someone targets his daughter next? Will they be able to stay separated or their love is just too damn strong to stay apart? But most importantly, how will he escape the arena of THE BLOOD BATH - a dark, dangerous place where mafia gangs choose their champions to fight for glory and power? Ty enters a trance-like state, anticipating every move of his opponent, landing a flurry of punches, kicks, and knees, and effortlessly shutting down his opponent's every attempt to grab him. In less than a minute, Ty dominates the older fighter, forcing the referee to stop the match as his opponent crumples to the side of the cage. Embarrassed and defeated, his opponent bolts from the cage, leaving Ty standing victorious, though he's already thinking about what comes next. The story closes a week later in the driver's ed car, where Ty reflects on his historic fight. The growth in his focus and discipline is evident, both in his driving and in his approach to life. His driving instructor-who witnessed Ty's fight-offers an encouraging word, saying he looks forward to seeing him fight again. For Ty, this is just the beginning of his journey, and he's ready for whatever comes next.

In a society filled with Princess-Barbie type girls obsessed with mani-pedis and makeup, Kelsie's father, a professional fighter, raised a tenacious tomboy obsessed with cars and sports. She reluctantly accepted how things were in her life, but that all changed when she ran into an old childhood friend on one of her late night underground escapades. He invited her to check out the gym he trains at, and they quickly developed a humorous love-hate relationship that quickly blossomed into something more special. That's when her life seemed to turn around for the better, or so she thought. The demons of her past came back to haunt her, swiftly taking their deadly hold on her soul for the second time. The dangerous life she so desperately wanted to get out of, and did manage to escape from, doubles back in full swing with a lethal vengeance, sucking her in again. In an unfair world where nothing is easy and in a plot filled with corkscrew twists, is she able to be brought back towards the light again before it's too late?
