For her 13th birthday the princess of Hyrule was gifted the Sheikah slate, the latest development in the research of the Sheikah technology. The same night, she vanished without a trace. Three years later, Princess Zelda returns. However, she returns in disguise, as she is warned by the Great Deku Tree of a evil in the castle. Once inside the walls of Hyrule Castle, she finds that there is someone is in her place. Who is she? Why is she here? The false princess looks almost exactly like her, and the triforce symbol on her hand proves her to be the princess. However, Zelda is determined to prove herself the true princess of Hyrule. She gets closer to the "princess", and befriends her appointed knight, Link, who wields the sword that seals the darkness. The threat of the Calamity is looming on the horizon, and Zelda is required to access her sealing power, but how will she access it while hiding her true identity? With the kingdom growing more and more agitated, will Zelda prove herself the true princess, harness her power, and save her kingdom before the end of it all? This is a story about Link from the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and how it happened in my eyes. My thoughts and actions of me playing the video game, through the eyes of Link. The following story is a fanfiction relaying and utilising particular canon events within 'The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild' timeline. Some events may not adhere to the canon timeline. (Y/N) is in a dark and cold dreamscape with tattered clothes and jet-black hair. The young woman before them is Princess Zelda, who speaks to (Y/N) with a gentle smile and a blue aura. (Y/N)'s ears are not expanding and the princess is confused. (Y/N) believes the ruler of Hyrule knows more than him. Zelda is a crown princess who is telepathic and requests the young adventurer to defeat the Calamity and reawaken her from her sleeping state. As the young adventurer wakes up, a small chest falls from the sky with an old shirt and trousers, as well as a device. The young adventurer sees someone riding a horse across the horizon, with snow-white hair and a symbol that resembles the one on the tablet. She pulls back the reins of her horse and climbs down.

This is my journal. After the Great Calamity, Link and I began to rebuild Hyrule. It was hard, long, and boisterous. But at last Hyrule had returned to her former glory. I would very much like to tell you how this all happened. Have a seat. I have much to tell you!

Whether it is skyward bound, adrift in time, steeped in the glowing embers of twilight, or avenging the rotting ruins of a once prosperous kingdom, there is always the spirit of the hero, the bloodline of the goddess, the incarnation of Demise's hatred, and the cursed one known as (Name). When the three Golden Goddesses created all of hylian history and culture, they gave you a "special gift" but to you it was a curse. In each life, you and the hero were destined to be together but something would away get in the way. Either he loved someone more than he loved you or you were killed before you two could be together. You hated the fate the goddesses subjected you to, but you would try to change your fate in every life.

After defeating Calamity Ganon, Zelda and her knight without memory set off to visit each of the lands. Along the way they run into powerful foes that are consumed with rage at the Calamity's defeat. They seem determined to ensure its victory- even if it means resetting the clock. Now Link and Zelda have to save their past and everyone in it before their victory over the Calamity is wiped away for good.

Y/n cannot seem to remember anything pertaining to her past. All she remembers is waking up to a glowing blue light with the task of accompanying some man named Link. Who told her to do this? A powerful but gentle female voice. What is in store for this, Link and her? Well, you'll have to read to find out.

Zelda has a nightmare.

When worlds align in such a way that you cannot embrace your role, are you worthy of such importance? Y/N, a simple theorist of our humble earth finds herself in the time post-calamity. With a mind boggling Hyrule that is different than anticipated in BOTW, Link seems to not be the only one fated to a heroic task.

*Currently on hold might get picked back up but probably not any time soon... sorry* Calamity Ganon is on the brink of returning and all citizens of Hyrule are in a panic. Link has a new amount of stress on his shoulders ever since he pulled up the master sword and was revealed to be the chosen one that is meant to seal the darkness. Him and four others were appointed champions that are to work together to seal the Calamity away. Along with this Link has the stress of wanting to keep a good relationship with his father and sister as well as figure out these sudden feelings he is having for the Zora Princess as well as protecting Princess Zelda who continues to give him the cold shoulder. As Hyrule gets closer to the day of Calamity Ganon's return Link and the other champions have to learn how to get along and perfect their roles. Something nobody else seems to remember is that Link and Zelda are both only 16/17 and have the fate of Hyrule resting on their shoulders. Will Hyrule be saved or will it crumble to pieces in front of these two young hero's eyes? . . Cover art is not mine. This is just what I imagined happened and Link's personality is the personality I imagine him having, my apologize if you don't agree. The Story of the Calamity that has plagued Hyrule for 10,000 years, How it came to be, how it rose to power, and how it fell. Since I wrote the Story the entire thing will be 'Non Canon' Information and as such, only 'Canon' information has been put into the second part, though only a bit of it is head canon.
