This is a story about Vampires. Vampires who don’t go all sparkly in the sun and wouldn’t be caught dead munching on your neighbours bunny... They’ll just eat your neighbour - but they have a problem. Actually they have several. Fext, ‘King’ of the Seven Vampire Houses has been missing for almost thirty years and the head of the Seventh House is falling in love - with a human. Somewhere in the woods a girl is watching Vampires stalk their prey while she dreams and the first Dhampir in over four hundred years is about to wake up in a pool of blood. Oh, and to top it all off, there’s a bloody prophecy involving all of them and the hills are alive with the sound of howling...

Not much other to say than not your average fanfiction. Just when you think you think you have everything figured out about this story it will turn around and slap you in the face. Metaphorically slap you that is.

This is the last year. Being able to make it through the end with flying colors would mean the world to Maya. But as hectic as everything gets, a test that holds a huge percentage on her card subsides her. She fails. Not once, but twice. She's lost her muse and she has to find it. And fast. The semester's ending and she needs to get the last project done. The last project: RED; Read, Explore and Discover. Maya thinks this world tour is a bit overrated for a Literature subject, but being as the rule-abiding student that she is, she goes with it. But who knows, really? She might find her muse while doing it, and that's all she's wants. After all, in Maya's books, this is the time to hit the sirens and have complete focus. This is code red.
