After Callie is released from Juvie, she is placed in another foster home, Stephanie and Lena Adams-Foster and their 3 teens. But Callie has a secret she won't reveal, to save her little sibling's. When they finally reunite, they all need to learn to trust their new foster family and even their forever home.

Lena Adams was 18 when she had given birth to Callie Adams but was unable to care for her as she was starting college in a year. Lena decided to give Callie to her mother and father but when they are no longer able to care for Callie will Lena be able to save her from the system or will Callie spend the rest of her childhood in the system? Will Lena ever be notified her daughter is in the system? A/N: I do not own the fosters nor any story line involved.

Callie, after an altercation in Juvie, gets taken in by high school vice principal Lena Adams and local police officer Stef Foster. The teen keeps her distance from the family knowing deep in her head that this one, like others, won't last. Stef prods trying to gain Callie's trust while Lena warns against pushing as this, in Lena's eyes, only pushes Callie further away. The children of Stef and Lena attempt to also form connections with Callie but fear the girl will only detach more with every move they make. When an incident occurs, Callie's walls crumble, much to her dismay, and she finds herself needing to rely on Stef and Lena more then she ever wanted to. This story goes off of the fosters but does not follow the same story line. Jude is not included in this story, but the rest of the foster kids remain. Sequel to Picking Up Shattered Pieces. If you haven't read that one, I suggest you do before starting this one. This story focuses more on Callie and Sophia's relationship.
