That scenario sounds perfect for fairy tales and movies. But this was real life, and things didn't always work out so perfectly. I did fall for a boy, and by some grace of God, he fell for me too. He stayed with me when I asked him to, and we had our happily ever after, at least for a little while. But nothing lasts forever. And when our fairy tale ending started to crumble around me, I was left all alone with nothing but white noise.
