Dear Luke,
I'm laying myself bare in these pages. My thoughts, my pain, my embarrassments, the things I wish I could say, the things I probably shouldn't say, and all the feelings I don't really know what to do with.
And if you ever wonder who the strange girl was who handed you a collection of her most embarrassing thoughts, it was me.
Love,
Althea
If you are seventeen you feel so much, you want nothing and the whole world at the same time. That's how Althea felt when she handed her unsent love letters and poetry to the lead singer of the band she idolized.
It had been almost four years since she had handed them over to Luke, attached with pages of poems. She didn't really expect anything out of it. But in 2014 she had done the same again. And in 2015 too. 2016, felt weird. She didn't go to a concert. She had left her hometown in the Netherlands and moved to LA, leaving everything behind. She didn't expect the shitty poetry she wrote as a teenager to change her life, let alone years later.
