Your best friends become strangers,
Lollipops turn into cigarettes
The innocent ones turn into sluts
Homework goes in the trash
Soda becomes vodka, and kisses turn into sex
Giving birth at a tender age wasn't my intention
How it happened is still a confusion
My chance of having fun as a teenager was taken,
Struggling to survive by what is left
Siblings to take care of for I am the eldest
In the eyes of the society,
They call me irresponsible
They think that now my life's impossible
But all they can see is pregnancy
But do they know the pain I endure?
Giving up was an option but the tender love and care restricted me
Judgemental faces were all over me, facing the hardship all by myself was what was left,
Morning sickness, no mom, no dad just me trying to survive
No books,no pens,no teacher just me to learn for myself
But choosing to give up was what I shunned against
