After Riftan and Maxi got separated from the other knights and wizards on the expedition they sought refuge in a nearby cave for the night...but they were not alone. An ending to the story of Under The Oak Tree Book 2

What if...Maxi stayed at the church in Livadon as her husband had asked instead of sneaking away? She discovers a love of singing and to her delight she found that when she sings, she no longer stutters. One morning, Maxi unknowingly uses her newfound musical talents to welcome the Remdragon Knights home from war. The characters belong to Suji Kim. The hymn belongs to William Kirkpatrick. Maximilian Calypse was kidnapped several months ago. Riftan, Ruth, and the Remdragon Knights eventually discover where she was taken but when they arrive to rescue her the woman they find is not Maxi, not exactly. What happened to her? Why is she acting like she does not know them? She may be alive but are they too late to save her? *Warning: foul language, some violence (memories of the Duke punishing Maxi as a child) some book 1 and 2 spoilers.
