Rewrite of the movie with a female Hiccup. Hiccup and Dagur have been betrothed since birth to unite the two tribes in a lasting peace. Dagur and Hiccup have a bond closer than what anyone expected out of the arrangement, this bond doesn't make Stoick and Oswald too happy but at least their children wouldn't kill one another like many arrangements worked out. The other tribes also visit for the wedding that will forever unite the two tribes for centuries to come. Hiccup doesn't compete in dragon training as she is not old enough and her and Dagur are set to marry as soon as she turns 14. Two years later when Hiccup doesn't write back to Astrid and her letters start coming back to her she takes it upon herself to find him. What will happen when it Hiccup finds a new group of friends? Or when Astrid comes upon a new dragon and finds a family to call her own? What happens when a new enemy comes? Hiccup and Astrid's loyalty to their friends and tribes will be tested. As well as their friendship, relationship and loyalty to each other will be at risk. Since this is also a Hiccstrid vs Merricup please no fighting in the comments. I kinda based this off @DragonmarkerCamicazi who is one of my best friends irl and also the person who introduced me to HTTYD, Minecraft, fanfiction, and she also kind of explained LGBT+ stuff to me because I found out she was gay (well, asexual panromantic, same as me) so yeah this is dedicated to her.

HII I've been hyperfixated on the httyd books for months now and I haven't been able to find like, any fanfics on here about them so I decided I'd make my own. please keep in mind if you've never read the books that they are very different from the movies so please make sure you're not getting confused at all. this is also a modern au where fishlegs, hiccup and Camicazi all live in a boarding school and get into mischief (All characters are owned by dreamworks and Cressida Cowell)
