max is a bad person-- there's no one doubting that-- so it's a surprise when, after his embarrassing death, he is put into a glorious paradise called, "the good place", run by a nervous and overly-happy angel named david. in his own personal slice of eternal heaven, however, he learns that not everything is as perfect as it seems. in fact, maybe he doesn't belong in this idealistic word after all- could it be he was put in by mistake? follow the journey of max, his supposed 'soulmate', neil, and their neighbors, naadha and preston, as they learn that heaven isn't really all it's cracked up to be. - this is my first ever story that i've ever published ever, even outside of wattpad! i hope you all really like it! here's a couple things (read the author's note for more) - featured ships / canon ships - maxneil - possibly danvid (as of now i'm not sure of any other ships that would work) notes - my writing is really bad and i'm legit so sorry - i write with lowercase - i don't have perfect matches to all of the characters (for instance, i understand how perfect david would be as janet, but a nikki and david arch would just be gross; i also think preston makes the most sense as tahani out of camp campbell, as i am not using the flower scouts as mains) - this fanfic may use gifs of the characters as their canon ages, however they are all aged up to their early thirties zone (making david and the rest of the counselor-aged adults around 40-50 looking, though most of them are actually immortal because they are angels/demons, etc.)

Unsure of what to do, you suddenly get a call from your grandmother offering for you to go to your cousin; Preston's "Parent's Day" in her place at the camp she sent him to. Preston and you have a pretty rocky relationship and things become even more complicated as you end up slowly falling for his camp counselor.

Jasmine Chang Smith is a new camper at Camp Campbell. For as long as she could remember, she never had any friends before and was constantly bullied by her cousin. Well that was about to change, as she decided she was going to make some close friends at camp. She also... had a crush on Max. Wait what?! Yeah... she did not plan for these new feelings to surface especially not on someone as jaded as Max. But.... For as much of an asshole that he is.... he is.. the type of guy she would.. kinda be into...
