With their abnormal intelligence that beats that of a person's, they send deadly attacks on the people of Earth in four Waves, wiping out nearly the whole human population. Rose is one of the few survivors left. She spent months alone in the unknown Canadian forest, wondering if she will survive to wake up the next morning. When a yellow school bus pulls up nearby, her dangerous lifestyle changes into an even more deadly one.

Silver was just an ordinary grade 10 once, until the Waves came. The 1st wave knocked out all the electricity all across the globe, leaving the world in total darkness. No electricity worked, no freezers would work. Nothing, just like that, all gone with a snap. The 2nd wave, the floods came. All across the globe, especially for the coasts that were hit first, it would've been the toughest. It knocked everything down, killed all the power lines that weren't already knocked down. The 3rd wave came, and the plague spread around the world, killing around 97% of the population. The birds began spreading it and then it was all over. They started calling it the 'Red Death' or the 'Fourth Horseman'. The 4th wave was when the silencers came. The others had been downloading themselves into children when they were still 4 or 5 years old. The others were now coming out as themselves and assassinating the remainder of the survivors. They were the elite death squads, who killed anyone in site who looked like a survivor. The 5th wave is well.... It's where our story begins. Silver Starling was a badass fighter even before the waves came. She was trained in hand to hand combat by her father who was an MMA fighter after being honorably discharged from the military after 2 tours. She also was taught to use a gun when she was 10. And for her, it was a second language basically, something you'd never forget. Let's follow Silver and see what happens shall we?
