A boy is sent by his mother to buy flowers at the local market. On his way home, his skin touches one of the petals-- and he sees a memory, so vivid it feels like he's experiencing it. In the midst of a brewing civil war, Sofia, a simple woman, just wants to be married and settle down. While we had neighbours, most of them would be in town, setting up for the celebrations. No one would've left their dog outside and although we were on the wooded edge of town, deer usually didn't wander this close. Shuffle, shuffle. My throat seized. Suddenly, a figure burst through the hedges, running straight towards me. I suppressed a scream as he ran into me. The two of us hitting the ground. Ow, my nose. My hand flew to my nose, already anticipating the bleeding. "Shoot," I hissed in the dark. "Get down," My attacker roughly pulled me back. We were in one of Mum's many bushes. "No!" I cried, wrenching my arm back. Was this how I got abducted? I started to breath heavily, scrambling back in the bushes even further. "Shush, please!" He whispered urgently, "I need your help!" "I don't need to help you," I hissed, "crazy person! Rushing in on my backyard!" "I know! And I'm so sorry! It's a matter of life and death!" He panted. Between the low light and the thick branches, I could barely get a good look at my attacker. He had a dark grey hood up and over his head. In terms of age, he was on the younger side of attackers, which did nothing to help my wild theory that he was coming to abduct me. "So?" I whispered, trying to slow my panting. "My name's C-." He breathed, "Wait are you bleeding?" For the second time my hand flew to my nose. As I expected a torrent of blood was running forth. I wiped the worst of it away from my mouth. "I mean, that's what happens when somebody tackles you to the ground," I hissed.

This is the story I'm writing for April Camp NaNoWriMo. A riveting tale about Nova Eniana Gourova, a space medic in the midst of a religious war for the ancient star gods. In this galaxy, Gazers read the paths of the stars, interpreting the will of the gods and prophesying the coming tomorrows. Nova has always had the gift of being a Gazer, but her familial circumstances drove her to be a cybernetic medic in the coming war. And let's not forget about the fabled space dragons, breathing celestial fire...

Gloria didn't think she was going to have to go it alone with her very first café, but when her business partner disappears and she has a lease to pay she must figure out a way to make it work. ------ NOTES: 1. The great war, that's what they called it. It killed almost half the world's species of wolves. One of those wolves was her mate, but she was almost thankful for that. The other option, watching him reject her and move onto his secret lover, almost seemed even more painful. But again, almost half the world's species of wolves was gone. And the king released a new order to help repopulate. And this meant that she would be assigned a new male to raise a pup with. And she's trying her best to stay positive.

Socially awkward, self proclaimed nerd Mckenzie "Mac" Brandt is sent to a summer-long camp with her church, expecting to hate it with all that she is. She loves God, but can't understand people? But what happens when a fake accent, a couple secret passions, and God intervene?

Here are some haikus that I wrote during Camp NaNoWriMo in April 2014. My main project was a SF novella, but these popped into my head in the evenings (as one might guess from the themes they touch on, haha). I thought they deserved their own story/album.

Mary Pyle is a college student from Alabama whose summer vacation took a dark turn when her ex-boyfriend is discovered to be a serial killer and she's believed to be his accomplice. Nate takes Mary with him as he runs across the country to Mexico. Along the way, she digs through their past to find a way to gain her freedom, but as she does so, she quickly realizes that things were not as they had always appeared to be. Her journey with Nate includes knowing when to press him and when to back off as she tries to find his weak spots and her way to her own freedom.

Lena lived an ordinary life. At least she thought so. She had a decent job, good friends, and was just finishing up college, and was ready to graduate. Not many things in her life were a constant, her parents, her friends, hell even her pets would love her. There were only two things that were a constant in her life; her Aunt Greta, and the random bruises that littered her skin. For seven years the bruises would just show up, with neither her, nor her Aunt being able to figure out were she would be getting them, just chalking it up to her being a bit clutzy. But what happens, when on the day of graduation, a CIA agent comes up to Lena congratulating her, and telling her 'Welcome to Project Nightlight.'

Right, so I don't have a proper title, you know why?? Because I haven't written this out properly yet. SO WHY THE HELL WOULD I HAVE A PROPER DESCRIPTION FOR IT?! Here's a bleedin' description for you: Dude leaves to chase brother, joins a cult. Shenanigans commence. IS THAT ENOUGH FOR YOU WATTPAD? Jeez. I mean, I guess it's mature because of cursing but ??? I don't know. Screw it. ((Might use this as the July writing project idk))
