In the future, falling in and out of love has become an everyday thing. People getting married because they think they're in love, but realize they aren't and get divorced in a few months. With the modern and advanced technology, the government invents a bracelet that transmits your energy to find everyone's soul mates. The bracelets countdown to the exact second someone might meet their soul mate. But what happens when someone resists the idea of the bracelets? Shay Mitchell, doesn't want to be with her 'soul mate'; she wants to find her own soul mate, someone who she truly loves and not someone that their government says she has to love. When she meets Caleb, she knows she will be with him somehow. Caleb Dawson, forever and always will hate the bracelets. After his older sister ran off with someone other than her 'soul mate', he knew he wanted to follow her. Here are some haikus that I wrote during Camp NaNoWriMo in April 2014. My main project was a SF novella, but these popped into my head in the evenings (as one might guess from the themes they touch on, haha). I thought they deserved their own story/album.

Small town girl Lydia Joseph has only known one life. In her small farming community, her life is laid out in front of her, but she finally finds her escape- an airplane ticket and a script. Hollywood awaits Lydia as she is thrust into her new life as a true actress, taking the lead role in a new movie. But the plot takes a turn when she meets Evan Sanders, a snarky, spoiled Hollywood star who takes an interest in her. As their roles continue, events will spark remembrances to her past as an actress and lover, leaving her with a final question- who is Evan’s true character?
