Until a few eventful run-ins with each other start changing their minds. They despise each other, and despite their drastic differences, start finding each other somewhat tolerable. Their dads hate each other too. Their dads haven't forgiven each other and are still hung up about the war. So far, neither has America or Russia. Either way, it's not over.

After USSR dies, Ukraine has to look after his other children because Russia is away at college. She meets Canada at high school, and the relationship quickly blossoms (see what I did there? Get it? Because Ukraine likes flowers? You know what, never mind). There's just a few problems. Canada's brother, America, contributes to Ukraine's growing depression, bringing back flashbacks of when she was little. She tries to forget her past, but will her past forget her? Canada had enough of the abuse that Ukraine was undergoing by her Russian brother and Belarusian sister. It made his skin burn with discomfort, and he wanted Ukraine to feel wanted.

"Do you think I have forgotten about you?" Highschool is some of the most formative years in our life. We change and grow into our own people and decide what our futures will be. America and Russia's senior year is when everything changed for better or for worse. It all started with America end of summer party where two decided to put the past aside and let an old bond form again. Them and their friends come together to celebrate the end of their high school years forming new memories and friendships.

Canada has moved to a new town where him and his brothers and his sister can get a fresh start away from their abusive father and with their mother (France) they can start new in a new school which is high school. Canada meets Ukraine and he likes her. Canada wants her to stay safe and he will make sure of it
