Originally published in 2021, "Whalesongs" is a collection of poetry focused on human relationships, marine life, and science. Three years after the initial compilation, I have decided to revisit these compulsive works and revise the collection as a whole. Readers of the second edition can expect to find edits and continuations of the original poems, new works, and a carefully reconsidered poem sequence.

On the shores of the North Atlantic Ocean, the seasons are changing. This collection of poems written between 2011 and 2021 follows the transformation of nature and the soul as a movement from the dark depths of winter, through the fragile promise of spring, to the fulness of summer. A gradually warming and uplifting anthology, "Whalesongs" is a meditation on the smallness of humanity in contrast to the enormity of nature. These verses were inspired by ponderings on nature, mental health & well-being, and living by the Atlantic Ocean. I hope you can find some comfort in them or find them thought-provoking, as the writing of these pieces has brought great comfort to my heart in times of need.
