When Tessa Parker goes to France for fun like her mother and grandmother did, she thought her mother's hopes of her finding a cute boy there was a joke, but that was before Florian Lucien came into her life. New York was where the war affected the least as there were clubs and theatres to keep people distracted. Broadway was as lively as ever, as people needed somewhere to escape from reality. Money poured into the pockets of prostitutes from needy men and companies thrived off the money alcohol gave them. Although Broadway was busy and popular, crime still went on within the back alleys and dark apartments of the light up city. This is a story written to give you, the reader, an insider to life within the streets of New York and how people dealt with issues that popped up in their lives.
