When I was told that my daddy had cancer, time stopped, the world stopped spinning. I knew in my heart that we could defeat cancer, that together my family and I could overcome any obstacle. When my dad missed my college graduation years later, I began to loose hope and strength. I now understand that it was it a matter of strength but finding peace within. I am Marbella once a bratty, agnostic and withdrawn teen. Challenged to embrace reality and change when my father was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Once faced with the unraveling of my family I took a leap of faith and changed into a thoughtful, spiritual and engaging young woman. After a long journey with Cancer and distress, I now choose to become a catalyst of hope and peace. I will be sharing the events that challenged me the most throughout the years with my father’s cancer; in turn I only ask that my readers share their experiences with me, in hopes of creating a safe sharing and healing environment for my readers.

A girl named Ava, has CF. CF is a disease that will hit mostly young kids or teenagers or people who were born with it. But she pretty much has a second home and that is the hospital. While she was in the hospital, a boy with bright ocean blue eyes and a gap in his teeth, walked by. They made eye to eye contact but he kept on walking by. He was heading to go see his best friend jack in the hospital all because of a stupid skate board accident. Cystic Fibrosis (SIS-tik fi-BRO-sus) or also known as CF for short. Ill be using CF a lot than the actual words Here's the Meaning: is a disease that causes the body to make thick, sticky mucus. Healthy lungs produce mucus, which protects the airways and makes it easier to breathe. But for a person with CF, the mucus is thick and sticky and can clog up the lungs. Here's a better way: is a genetic disease, meaning it is caused by a person's genes. It affects the glands that produce mucus and sweat, causing mucus to become thick and sticky. As the mucus builds up, it can block airways in the lungs. This makes it increasingly difficult to breathe

My Father's Fight with Esophageal Cancer was such a horrific thing to watch. He was so hungry, he was trying to take care of all he could before he had to move on. He didn't want my mom to have so much burden to bare. Five years ago I too became a Widow. So I knew what my Mom was going to be up against with her emotions and grief. We grieved for our father as we watched him fight an amazing fight. What a brave man. Now we grief in a sense for our own selves for the memories that won't be. No matter your age, when you lose one of the main, solid, comforting people in your life it creates rollercoaster of emotions. Sometimes I feel like his 10 year old little girl as I weep and cuss and then move forward. Its not getting easier and I miss him terribly. 🦋
