Canoeing Stories

This is a composition of journal entries that I have written throughout my life that I have decided to share with you. Each entry is true, depicting little moments in my life, much like a photograph. Some entries will make you laugh, and some may make you cry. Or, you may cry from laughing so hard. Either way, I hope you enjoy this book.

As four friends go on a canoe trip, they forgot an important piece to their trip, the compass. Not wanting to panic, they set out for camp knowing they have a map to follow. After they are set up and hunkered down they turn in for the night. One of the men wake up due to a noise outside of his tent. Rounding the corner of his tent he notices an odd, faint, soft figure staring back at him. Not being able to move, he yells, waking his friends who soon come running causing all hell to break loose. Maybe, just maybe, if they can keep their heads on straight they can make it out alive.

During a three-day weekend, the Collins family packs up and heads for Coastshore River for canoeing. However, Grace and Bella refuse to canoe because of their anxiety attacks. But the Devil Cows find out about the trip and decide to cut the river in half to make a waterfall, forcing Audrey and Austin to fall to their doom while canoeing. Will Grace and Bella face their fears to save their other two teammates, or will they become the Cowards of Coastshore River?

Canoeing fishing and camping are three of my favorite activities so I thought a would write about it. This trip took place a few years back.

Hidden beneath the darkness of stillwater lies so much potential. Mitch Gains was determined to tap into it. He gently lifted his smooth pale paddle and dipped into the cool, glass that was the stillness of his life. It was going to be a long paddle and the winds were picking up. There was still much to do before he reached the sunken dock.

You've heard of those parents that ship their kids off the summer camp to get them out of their hair right? Yeah, well this camp is made specially for them. My dad, an aspiring actor that never got "discovered" decided it would be a good way to pay the bills for the summer. So, he dipped into his and my mom's life savings and started a camp. He advertised it for the wealthy because we needed all the money we could get. I don't know how he did it, but somehow he got enough people to come. I thought that I would work there or something along those lines. No. They put me in a cabin with people my age. Yeah, I wasn't too cool with that arrangement. I'm Amy Carter, and this is how I spent my summer.
