~~~~~ In all Honesty, Zuko hadn't thought much of Mai in the last two years. Really, he didn't think of much other than finding the Avatar. Thoughts of home... Well, what good were they if he could never return? But now Mai is in front of him, irrefutably, for the first time in three years. Even after Azula and Ty Lee have gone off to do whatever it is they do when he's not around, Mai is still standing there, like she has something to say. ~~~~~ A year ago I found myself wondering what happened in the relatively short time between season 2 and 3 that ended with Zuko and Mai Becoming a couple. This was born from that query. I was reminded of it today and decided I might as well post it because it's admittedly one of the better things I've ever written, so why not let it see the light of day?
