"Purple in disguise" is a slow-burn (emphasis on slow) enemies to lovers fic, following the story of a perfectly-imperfect, weirdo Y/N (that I hopefully managed to make unique and independent as a female mc, and break the stereotypical Fem y/n cycle, without making her cringe, but honestly you judge) and an imperfectly-perfect Rei ryugazaki, the neat-freak swimmer with a weird sweet tooth for beauty we all know and adore. Rei and y/n hold very distant ideals, thus they become instant enemies the moment their assigned seats on Iwatobi high are...you guessed it, as all great cliches go, next to eachother. How and why do they fall for eachother? How does Rei even begin to like someone who thinks of keys and spirals as "aesthetic-allity at its peakest", and how is y/n able to put up with him adjusting his glasses every possible second of his life? Most importantly, how much character development does it take to reach that point? You'll have to find out!
