After a Vivace Carving is stolen from the South Side Museum, Elizabeth Brown (a self employed 'free lance crime fighter') decides to investigate. Whilst searching the museum she stumbles across a famous Belgian journalist - Tintin - and his faithful companion Snowy. Following some rather unlawful activities secrets are uncovered and an exciting opportunity arises. Venturing through the Italian mountains they and Captain Archibald Haddock track down the mysterious criminal and his band of thugs. However, bagging their man isn't the only thing on their minds. Legend has it that the Vivace Carvings hold the secret of the whereabouts of treasures beyond belief... all they have to do is find them. *My previous username was tanitheverdeenxx, hence why it is displayed on the cover and at the end of most author's notes throughout.* *I do not own The Adventures of Tintin, all credit goes to artist/author Hergé and the creators of the 2011 film adaptation.*

While shopping at an outdoor market, young reporter Tintin, accompanied by his faithful dog, Snowy, buys a model of an old ship called the Unicorn. A shady character named Sakharine with his daughter Jessica and later an American named Barnaby try to buy the model from him, but Tintin refuses. The lad discovers that the ship contains a clue about a hidden treasure, but before he can locate it, Tintin is kidnapped and given over to the custody of drunken Capt. Haddock.

Tintin missed an important day which have made a friendship drift apart. A problem happened, a problem that Tintin never experienced before... " Why did this have to happen to me? I feel like my freedom was stripped away from me..."

When Harold Bride is struggling with a brake up and getting caught drunk on more than one occasion, captain Haddock had to intervene, deciding they need to take a different approach than the normal 'talking to'. which lead to an evil plan being born.
