Geraldine Witwicky enjoys tinkering with things. Old watches, broken toasters. Taking things apart and reassembling them. Just ask her brother Sam who is constantly tripping over her mess in the garage. But when her dad forces her to make room for her brother's new car, Geraldine decides to give it a tune-up up as she would call it. Sam's car didn't really appreciate that sort of invasion.

Thomas "Tommy" Marshall is a member of Captain Lennox's Army Rangers team. After returning back to base, they are attacked by an unidentified inorganic enemy. They are separated from the rest of the men and are trying to get back homebase. Meanwhile, Tommy's younger brother, Jackson "Jack", is dealing with problems of his own with his best friend; Sam Witwicky. When the two of them realize that Sam's car is actually an alien robot and can drive itself. Not to mention, its not the only one in town. There are several, in fact. Two of them have actually tried to kill them. Tommy and Jack are fighting the same war on two different fronts. And it all goes to hell when they finally reunite with each other, under the wrong circumstances.
