Welcome back to the beginning. The United Space Ship Enterprise is dispatched on its first mission under the command of Captain Christopher Pike. What should be a routine supply drop to a federation colony turns out to be a complete mystery involving turn of the century architecture, unsanctioned alien first contact, a destroyed starship and technology never encountered. Pike and his crew must navigate through the deceptions of colonial Governor Cyril Vessey, to discover the secret behind the planet's enhancements and what threats his new alliance may pose on the galaxy. Maiden Voyage is a character vs. technology conflict with a voyage and return archetypal narrative arc. Replete with all new characters, greatly expanded central characters, and a beefed-up security force, the story revives the magical elements and social commentary of the original series. It is nostalgia at its finest. Maiden Voyage takes place in the year 2250, fifteen years prior to the original series and four years prior to The Cage. A slightly different take on Joseph Campbell's monomyth, these heroes evolve from the crew members surrounding the protagonist, Captain Christopher Pike. Through him, they are afforded opportunities to seize the sword. He is more than a mentor. Pike is an active participant in their journeys. Together the characters are greater than the sum of all parts.

Follow Kristen Lee Pike and her adventures at Starfleet Academy. From finding friends in a grumpy doctor to an energetic trouble magnet Kristen leads her life like any Pike. The U.S.S. Enterprise has been sent on a mission to investigate an anomaly; the first known white hole in the universe. According to all known science this should not exist. What troubles Captain Pike the most though is a little blue box has fallen out of it. He now must decide whether to trust this mysterious Doctor and his friend Ruby Sunday. If he makes the wrong choice the fate of several universes could be at stake. the reason there is no description of the story is because since I'm writing it as I'm watching the show.... for the very first time.... so I have no idea how it's going to go lol however.... this story is in some ways identical to my "Oh for the love of Spock" which is based off of the Original series Spock some examples of the similarities are 1) the OC is a Kitsune 2) she of course falls in love with Spock and he falls in love with her and only her the only difference with that is he is so bound by his loyalty for his people that he TRIES to "connect" with T'Pring what helps is that he doesn't see the OC for a very long time before and during the time he spends with T'Pring 3) she will be friends with Captian Pike and Uhura who will once again be her dormmate 4) he does NOT have feelings for Christine Chapel and never calls her Christine even when she tells him to
