This is an AU("modern") Emma/Killian fic... it's inspired by Christina Perri's Music Video "The Words"... watch it, and you'll see these two first chapters are almost a "copy" of that song... (pretty much, with stuff left out for some, maybe, later chapters.) What happens when his quiet life is turned upside down by Emma Swan entering his life. Fluff ensured... yeah that's it basically.

Emma has a lot to deal with. Between trying to find The Dark One, and dealing with angry citizens, she barley has time to address some of her personal issues. Hook almost died last week, and the memory keeps coming back, haunting her. When Hook is taken by a kidnapping meant for her, she does everything in her power to get him back before it is too late. But one day a new crew member grabs his attention, there's something not quite right about him but Hook can't tell what... What will happen? Will Killian get his revenge? Will Emma finally find her happy ending? Or will their pasts ruin any chance at a happy future?

Emma Swan needs to be married by 30 in order to receive the money from her trust fund and save her failing business. Killian Jones is the thief who just tried to rob her store. The two strike a deal: Killian will pretend to marry Emma and she won't send him to jail.
