The arctics did begin to flood yes but the water has dried and countries closed their borders and secured them. Everyone is fending for themselves. Countries that were once allies now would go to war for a simple pond of fresh water. The two main countries that will be focused on are Australia and Antarctica, coming from Australia we have a teen nearing her young adulthood named Koa Bennet, and from Antarctica we have another older teen named Vance Turner.
