Unlike Steve, she has no life anywhere, really, so she thought she'd stay in D.C. and keep an eye on Steve while she's working out a new cover. She's also currently being chased down by the surviving HYDRA operatives who want to kill her. So when she accidentally drags Steve into her mess, all this time between just the two of them starts to brew something. A friendship. Or maybe something even more?
