Has anyone ever wondered what would happen if Jude Duarte was in the empyrean series? How would she do in the threshing and when faced with the Venin? Hey so this is a fan-fiction of the 4th book of folk of the air. I do not own these characters. And I do not own the original story line of the past books either. This is just what I would want to happen after the ending. Also this could be taken as 5th book as well. But I did not consider the novel inspired by Cardan in this. A story following the life of Jude Duarte-Greenbriar and Cardan Greenbriar as monarchs of Elfhame and lovers. This story happens after the trilogy "folk of the air", I have NOT finished reading the other two books, "The stolen heir" and the "The prisoner's throne" sooooo if anything goes against of what happens in those books I'm so so so sorry!!! Hello so I'm wanting to read some fanfic on 'The Cruel Prince' but there wasn't much. So I decided to make one about the best couple ever and if they don't end up together imma djcidijdjsn anyway let's get into the story. New parts everyday!! Going to try to commit to the story this time :)

Jude has been kidnapped by Queen Orlagh. As a result, Cardan is forced to truly be king for the first time. Without his Seneschal he finds himself lost, angered -and even scared. Scared of losing her. *The title alludes to one of Cardan's letters to Jude in the third book. Enjoy!! Ps: While reading the story, you will probably notice that I'm not a native English speaker - so kindly overlook any grammatical errors!

Jude, the fearless High Queen of Elfhame, is afraid of thunderstorms, of all things. And Cardan's being really sweet, and the rest is fluff.
