"Can I tell you something?" I asked staring at the night sky where more and more stars started to appear with time. It was all so calm, mostly because exceptionally we weren't surrounded by cameras. Right now there was just the two of us. "Of course." He replied glancing at me just for a few seconds, letting go of a smirk but it wasn't like the ones he showed for the cameramen to record. It was bitter. "I've always hoped that volunteering for the games will make my life better. It gave me a reason to live but... Right now that I'm about to enter the Arena I feel like I'm drowning. Like... I'm underwater and unable to get on the top." The words started to ensue out of me and the torturing, hard weight on my chest became a little bit more endurable. "Aren't we all? Every Career hopes that the Games will change them, and their life in a good way but the truth is... It just takes away from us. But I hope it won't take you away from me." He replied as he scrambled on his feet looking down at me with the exact same crabby smile. ___________________________________________ Sloanne Ranchwert never really got to give a trial for easy living. She was born in a poor family and after she lost her parents her life didn't get any better. After four years she couldn't find any other way out of this than volunteering for The 70th Hunger Games at the young age of 17. She was prepared for the traps. For the mutants. She even reconciled herself to the thought of death but there was something which she didn't provide for. Love. ___________________________________________ !Disclaimer! I do not own the Hunger Games, it belongs to Suzanne Collins. I only own my own characters and plot lines. It is just a fanfiction.

"Look at that beautiful, bloody sunset, Sunny. What does that make you think of?" "Makes me contemplate bringing this knife through your throat." And he laughed. 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗵 is a Career Tribute. Lean and hard-muscled, whip-smart, strong-willed, she's the best tribute District One has seen in decades. Her one mission in life: Win the Hunger Games. But things never go as planned. Things change in the game. And this time, she's not planning on making it out alive. 𝗔𝘁𝗹𝗮𝘀'𝘀 older sister was brutally murdered in the arena. He has held a grudge against District One's victors ever since. And when he gets chosen as one of the tributes for the 68th annual Hunger Games, with her murderer's siblings as one of the competitors, it seems he has been gifted the perfect opportunity.
