FEVER DREAM (STAY AWAKE) is a one-page poem-book of dark intimacy and fragile devotion, set in the quiet terror of a sleepless night. It follows two bodies pressed together as anxiety spirals and sleep feels dangerous-where fear of unconsciousness becomes fear of disappearance. Desire here is soft but urgent, erotic in proximity rather than motion, and charged with the need to stay present. The poem explores panic as a private apocalypse, intimacy as grounding rather than escape, and love as the act of staying awake when leaving would be easier. Celestial undertones linger in the language of light, breath, and gravity, framing the night as a threshold between falling and remaining. Tender, sensual, and hushed, it treats closeness as survival and sleep as an act of trust.
