Therese had been doing fine, honestly. She had gotten a job, another apartment, she had even made new friends. Life after Carol went on as it did before her. At first it was draining and slow and just as she started to find a bit of enjoyment, and bits and pieces of happiness-real happiness-here and there she met Carol again. All of the sudden, but somehow not very surprisingly, her life got bumpy all over again. A bit more happiness here, some more gut wrenching sadness there. Therese was no big fan of challenges, except perhaps of this one.
