Meanwhile, Caroline is offered a teaching job in her hometown of Brookfield and it's then that she meets a student that changes her life forever. This is my prequel story on how the birth of the first Ingalls daughter, Mary could have been like for Charles and Caroline.

This is either going to be good or a monstrosity... Charles Ingalls is both man and beast (kinda like a werewolf but not close), he marries Caroline, only Mary and Laura are present in this. When Valentine's Day becomes a scary but exciting day all in one for Caroline and the Ingalls family--- Charles, the children, and the Ingalls' friends vow to protect her (Caroline). Caroline has been feeling poorly and while on a picnic with her family and friends, she slowly begins to deteriorate. Caroline is rushed into town and is taken to Dr. Baker where it is revealed that Baby Ingalls is due in early October. Charles and Caroline are also told that Caroline's pregnancy is high-risk. Halfway through the pregnancy, while Charles is away, Caroline begins to experience complications. One before she is due, Caroline goes into premature labor, and has to undergo an emergency c-section. What will happen to Caroline and the baby? Will they survive?
