There is not just one princess in trouble in this Novella, but two. Both are in need of protection and only one can do the protecting. When Vondra meets the recently widowed Prince Sharzor, she finds herself disliking him and when they are together, she despises him all the more. For some reason, he seems to hate her and does his best to keep putting her in her 'place', believing she is either a servant or a crafty female criminal. But deeper emotions are at play in both of them and soon they will surface... This is to be a 'Novella', written for Wattpad's 2021 Open Novella Contest and is about the seventeen-year-old princess, Vondra, who appears like an upper-class servant, certainly not a royally titled young woman. She is on the run and has no idea where she is or where she is going. She whispers, "I'm in heap of trouble and there is no way on this earth that I will go back. I don't fully believe in God, but as a last resort before I find a high cliff to throw myself off, I will pray and ask for help to become the woman my grandfather taught me to be."- He had told her, 'You're a weapon and weapons don't weep.' At the same time she wished to fulfill her Grandmother's prayers that she would 'be a woman of great wisdom, care, love, faith, hope and peace. I have placed this novella in the category 'Romance' as there was no category for 'Action-Romance' - the main romance doesn't happen right way because of the prince's loss and princess being in such trouble, she can only think of herself, of escaping and finding a normal life away from the restrictions of royalty. When the romance begins in earnest, it is intense. Enjoy.

Most days I write and create Bible-verse-images using one of my own photographs, or I create a graphic-background-image and paste a Bible verse on it, sharing it to a small group of friends and family and often sharing to Facebook. I thought, 'why not share these on Wattpad?' - so here I am. Bible verses I love and have memorized so many of them - the backgrounds have been created by myself, some art-work, drawings/paintings and photos taken in my home province of Taranaki which has both beaches, bush, parks, farmlands, ranges, mountains and outer 'sugar-loaf islands'. Now living in a real 'treetop home', there will be lots of tree photos, walkways and photos taken in nearby parks. Bible verses are from the NKJV (New King James Version) unless otherwise labelled. Wanting to be free from depression and discouragement, this work contains some natural anti-depressants, all which I find help me when I feel down. Especially when discouraged by others or by stressful circumstances, these 'pick-me-up' natural anti-depressants have lifted me spiritually as well as emotionally and physically. Differing activities here are useful in differing situations of a state of being 'down'; but for clinical depression, professional help and counselling are likely needed.

A random journal/blog/diary with poems and lyrics, many about NAMES - my name, your name, and other names. Also, a diary of journeys we go on in our thoughts, actions, deeds, and beliefs. The genre 'Random' fits this work perfectly. The idea for sharing comfort from one's name began on May 17th, 2018, with the confirmation that I have cancer and needed more surgery and perhaps on-going treatment. How advanced it was had to be determined by an MRI and X-ray... this was the start of this journey and how everything changed when I focussed on God instead of myself. Dedicated to Elsa whose encouragement has been a great source to inspire me in my writing and in particularly this journal-book for the journeys we each travel in our mission to please our Saviour, Jesus Christ. In the background of the quest being enacted, treachery, treason and terror threaten to destabilize the kingdom and turn it into a dictatorship controlled by the last person anyone would suspect. Princess Arletta lives in the early Medieval kingdom of Klavon and believes she has two problems, one insolvable, the other she hopes to solve for herself. The first problem is that she lives in a world dominated by men; namely her father, the King, and her brother, the Crown Prince, the counsellors and all other hierarchy involved in the running of the kingdom. The second problem is that she wants to marry for love, not for position, and certainly not a marriage arranged by her father who keeps telling her that she must learn to submit to her place as a princess of Klavon. A pauper she spies at the beginning of this story turns out to be a prince but the man who proposes to her seems an ordinary man with no background of nobility. Is she strong enough to escape her life as a princess and run away to marry and live the life of a pauper's wife? Can she be happy, living in a small, forest cottage-hut? Will it all work out happily ever after for Arletta? - Then, when everything turns to dread disaster due to the conqueror, Grahgor, will she ever find her way back to owning any form of meaning and purpose in her life?

'Dystopian' became a reality last year in 2020. This work is a day-by-day update on the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic from the 'bubble' of my home in Inglewood, New Zealand. The lockdown for myself and my family began on the 24th of March 2020 and the lockdown for the province where I live (Taranaki) came out of lockdown to a level 1 in which gives us almost total freedom. No masks, no social distancing; Covid virus does not exist in my province. However, the largest city in New Zealand has been in and out of total lockdown and still has active cases. My close family and some extended family committed to creating an image a day and sharing them during our lockdown. Each day, a different family member chose the medium and the subject. I chose to work to spiritualise each image I made which was a challenge because in my family the ages go from children to teens, to young adults and then on to the oldies like me.
