When two worlds collide... When prejudice and hatred are intertwined- When perception is distorted- In a game of life and death... Who will survive? The tale of a young American soldier who after accidentally being involved in a ploy created by the “Kill Team”, a group of soldiers who get a thrill from killing civilians, finds himself a captive in the house of several vengeful Afghan men and an interrogator who proves women are anything but weak in times of war. When 18-year-old American bred, Afghan, Reema who is still struggling to move over her grief from losing her father and on a quest to seek redemption, meets ROTC student Ralph, who is struggling to prove himself to his father and avenge his sisters untimely death at the hands of the Taliban-- perception, reality, and misdirected hatred intermingle in the small, insurgent ruled village of Kandahar, Afghanistan.

In which the quiet April comes in contact with the wild, charming and irresistible individual Eden Donovan, who tries to teach her the real life meaning of 'carpe diem'.

Revelation is a collection of poetry that deals with the souls struggles. It could be who we cling to in times of trouble or how we deal with these battles make who we are and who we become. Revelation consists of ten parts that each part is a different poetic form. Attention to detail is key in writing many different forms of poetry whether it is the amount of syllables in each line or the amount of lines. Poetry for the Attys This is a collection of poetry I wrote over the last few months. Each poem is special to me in one way or another... Each tells a story. It was interesting to write in forms and styles I hadn't even known existed till I decided to enter this competition. Good luck to everyone.

The story takes place in the distant future billions of years ahead of our time. The Earth has been saved from annihilation by ancient humans that wanted to protect it for nostalgic reasons. These ancient humans have travelled far beyond Earth but have come back to observe the progress of the beings now inhabiting it. Astredes is a warrior living on the ancient Earth. She has no knowledge of what lies beyond the planet, but intends to find out what happened to the humans who left the planet behind.
