As Khorshid spends time with Gwyneira, she begins to understand that not all nobles turn a blind eye to the poor. But just as quickly as they met, the two women are ripped apart. Can Khorshid break through the barrier of wealth to get through to Gwyneira? Can Gwyneira break through her family's notion of marriage to be with Khorshid? Or will that be the last of them? Two people on the ends of the spectrum find what they are looking for in each other. A story of magic and royalty overlaps into a tale of kidnap and true love between two unlikely people.

Leo had INTENDED to get revenge on his uncle by following the stories exactly as they were written, but when the time comes to marry a princess, he discovers that he is about to break just about all the happily ever afters there are. Worst of all, he is stuck with three dogs the size of an overweight elephant. He hates dogs.
