To sit next to me, your hand on my knee and your soft voice singing along to the songs that are playing. The endless conversations we have in the car and the meaningless words escaping our mouths and the moment that makes them meaningful. But car rides didn't last forever. We can't just go straight. We need to stop sometime or take a turn. And if we stop you will climb out of the car leaving me alone and making me weak again til you go back and start the engine again. Because the car ride is our metaphore. The car rides are our relationship, Luke. And whenever the car breaks down, my heart breaks into millions of pieces.
