He's nothing like the brave hero that Baz has started writing about, the one with Simon's name, but that's okay. He doesn't want to play hero--he just wants to live, bake, and kiss Baz. But Simon Snow still has some fight left in him, especially when Baz is unexpectedly kidnapped one night. Eager to save the love of his life, Simon is reacquainted with old friends he doesn't recall--Penny and Ebb--and some old enemies that can't seem to leave him alone...

A story about one of my favourite Percy Jackson characters and her life after Camp Half-Blood. A SIMON AND BAZ FANFICTION (SEQUEL TO CARRY ON): The World of Mages has never been better since the death of the Insidious Humdrum and with it, the growth of the 'dead spots' scattered around Britain. Simon Snow is currently taking courses at university, but still has no idea what to do with his life. Magic surrounds him everyday, and he can't help but miss it more and more. No one could understand his pain, not Baz, the love of his life nor Penelope, his closest friend. So when he finds a way to bring his magic back, he decides to tackle this problem on his own, in true Simon style, inevitably causing disastrous results.

What if Simon was aware of his feelings for Baz? What if Penny knew too? This is the setup as the story unfolds. Except this time, it's not the Humdrum they're facing. The gang has managed to get themselves into something much worse. With no clue where to go and no idea what they're about to find, they set off from Watford in the middle of the night in hopes of saving the World of Mages from a thing with impossible powers. Will they succeed, and what will happen on their journey there? Read to find out! This story falls under the categories of fanfiction, canon (I think), action, adventure, fantasy, and probably a few more. Hey, if you didn't get the little thing I did in the title, I'll explain. In the parentheses, I wrote AU Au, the first of which means alternate universe, and the second of which stands for gold on the Periodic Table. So... it's alternate universe gold. Ha. Ha. Funny? I hope so. Warning, there's loads of swearing in this. You've been warned.

The only thing that I liked more about Cath (from Fangirl)'s version of Carry On was the relationship between Penny and Baz. So, of course, I decided to write my own fic where their relationship takes center stage. Also: I've read a few stories in which Baz wears makeup. All of those stories have been my favorites (for obvious reasons). Therefore, this fic will feature Baz in makeup (yay!). Most of this is fluff and awkward sexual tension, I apologize in advance. Enjoy! These characters belong to Rainbow Rowell, not me. I only take credit for the plot line here, not the characters.
