Humans and the residents of the nether world have learned to coexist. At least in the sense that there is a dimensional line dividing them that is never to be crossed. It had been that way for many centuries, both worlds being aware of the other but never daring to interact with one another... of course until a teenage demon with seemingly endless power and a crap ton of issues crashes into the life of a depressed goth girl with no friends. Well... it can only get better from here I suppose. After a pretty nasty fight with his mother (ruler of the Nether World), Beetlejuice flees to the world of breathers to get away from her. With seemingly no way of getting rid of him, the government decides to send him to human school under heavy supervision. Meanwhile, Lydia Deetz is a grieving 14-year-old who just moved into town with her dad and step-mother. She becomes intrigued by the other new kid and decides it would be nice to get to know him as it seems no one else will. Friendship, fluff, and found families ensue. Authors note: yeah, so this is an AU that absolutely NO ONE asked for. Anyways, first off this is NOT beetlebabes, these babies are the purest form of friends and also Lydia's a lesbian in this. In the heart of an apparently inhabitated swamp, far from Piñata Central and the village of the few humans living on the island, a restaurant has been opened. A lonely structure where normal piñatas and sour ones work togheter, welcoming other piñatas from everywhere, even the domestic ones from some gardener's property. Looks like a paradise for everyone wanting to enjoy a good meal alone or with friends and family, but it will soon turn into a trap for a group of unlucky visitors.
