Carol visits Daryl at his camp after a fight with Ezekiel. Confessions are made. Set during season 9.

The minute it fell from his lips he wished he could pull it back in and button it up tight. He always ended up saying something stupid like that when he was trying so hard not to. The pain in her eyes was only a flash, but he'd seen it anyway. And it opened a wound of his own that never quite would heal.

Carol arrives back at the house in Alexandria and must try to convince Daryl that he does belong there. That he belongs with the group. One-Shot.

This story takes place after Beth dies, before Aaron tells them about Alexandria. Daryl and Carol decide to go off by themselves, and ditch Rick & Co. In hopes of starting over, they see that they are more than just people that bond over their past.
