Sam and Dean have found a unique case this time, one that may be their most difficult case so far. In the small town of Winter Harbour somewhere in Maine, bodies have been found mutilated or worse and things might just be out of the boys' leagues this time. This one goes way, way back in history and to find out exactly what happened at that time, the boys might need Castiel's help.

Now he has to face the most important case of his career while working with; The man he's (Secretly) in love with, his old bigoted mentor, AND his arrogant, newly promoted Ex? How will he face this? Will he be able to cope? Or will he crack under the pressure? When a twist leaves ALEC as the #1 suspect in a murder, even those closest to him begin to have doubts... How will the team handle this? Will their careers be able to survive this? Will there friendship? Will they?

Santa Barbra Ca. 1948 Magnus Bane is the top reporter for the Santa Barbra Sun- the hardest hitting paper in the city. His specialty is gritty crime exposes. Magnus is infamous for going to extreme lengths to get the facts for the best scoop, always willing to go the extra mile and put himself on the line for the story. His efforts and notoriety have gained him a wealth of connections and resources that most reporters can only dream of. This has also given him near unfettered access to the SBPD, as well as their cases; something that frequently puts him at odds with head Detective Alec Lightwood. The two men clash quite frequently and it's no mystery why: Magnus is unabashedly open about his inclinations and makes no apologies for it. He is bold, brazen, and completely unashamed, despite the prejudices of the day. He is reckless, somewhat underhanded, and not in any way against bending the rules to get to the truth... Meanwhile Lightwood is the totally by the book, straight-laced, workaholic head Detective and son of the current chief of the SBPD. But when the two men are told to drop a case things get complicated, secrets come to light, and the crack reporter realizes he may have read the 'straight-laced' detective all wrong...

Simon is taken hostage in a bank heist. Raphael, Magnus, and Alec scramble trying to find a way to get him out, and worry how he will cope. Turns out they may have underestimated the young detective.

Generally this wouldn't be much of an issue, however the man is completely human, and too stupid to sense what a threat Magnus actually is... Sigh... He'd take demons over arrogant morons any day...

He does have a bit of a reputation for taking reckless, dangerous risks in his pursuit of the truth, though with results like his the higher ups tend to look the other way. The man is notorious for doing things his own way, and on his own terms... Which is quite fortunate, as his investigative techniques are rather...unorthodox... He always works alone, and that's the way he prefers it... That comes to a rather abrupt halt when he's partnered with Alec Lightwood the completely by the book, logical- and irritatingly attractive- Head detective of the precinct. Will they be able to get past their differences and make the partnership work, or will it prove to be too much?
