i like to think 5sos actually text each other like this but these are all entirely from my imagination (except requests which are partially from someone else's imagination). my capitalisation in this book is literally all over the place. idek what i'm doing anymore. just ignore it. these will probably all be boyxboy unless someone requests straight and i'm in an unusually good mood and prepared to write about people with boobs. if i make grammatical/spelling errors in any of these texts you should know it's probably deliberate. i can actually spell to a reasonable standard but i am well aware that 5sos don't even know how to spell america so i make mistakes simply for effect. {disclaimer ; i quite obviously, though rather unfortunately, do not own the boys of 5 Seconds of Summer. i do, however, own the conversations written in this book and any resemblance to a real life text chat is completely accidental. these are not to be mistaken for actual conversations between the boys.}

In this world, better known as the Lights Realm, people are born with their soul outside of their bodies in the form of a Familiar: animals that reflect a person's personality. This world is also made up of seven kingdoms. And each year these seven kingdoms send their oldest to the capitol city of Pearl City to remember the young Royals that were murdered over fifty years ago. A month long celebration is held within Pearl City's St. Claire castle but not all the commoners are pleased to have this many royals in one city. Michael Clifford, a self proclaimed royal hater, is one of those people who isn't too much into celebrating. Living on his own after his family was murdered, Michael sneaks into the St. Claire castle to hang out with his best friend, Calum Hood who is the local Royal's stable boy. And unlike his friend, Calum is very excited for the Gathering each year so that he can see a certain curly haired prince, Ashton Irwin. But something is different this year as a third born, Prince Luke Hemmings is allowed to take his absent brother's place in the Gathering. Things change for all four boys during this celebration in ways none of them excepted. ~**~ DISCLAIMER: This world is heavily inspired by the books "Northern Lights" by Philip Pullman. And also a sort of spin off to an original story that I wrote years ago. I try and explain any of those references as best as I could. This is my first published fanfic, and I hope you enjoy.

I'm bad at descriptions so here's a sneak peek at the story. "Surprise!" They sing in four-part harmony noticing our presents. Even though I knew that they were going to say something, I'm sorry, I may let out a very small fangirl scream, especially when I notice that Luke is almost sitting on top of Michael, like the way that Finn and Jack sit. "Are you not surprised?" Ashton asks us. "Oh I am, I'm just trying to hide it," Ari says. "You should've heard her in the hall when I told her," I say. "EMMA SHUSH!" She yells at me. "Moody much?" I ask "No, just..." She pouts at me. "Ah, I see," I say slowly nodding my head. She blushes a little and hides her face in her sweatshirt.
