This story follows Ashton Irwin, a blind seventeen year old, as he starts High School for the first time. Having always been Home-Schooled, Ashton isn't exactly sure what to expect for his new adventure into the teenage world, and is a little nervous talking to people, especially when his Mom has to pick out his clothes for him. But making friends comes just that bit easier than Ashton had first anticipated. Inspired by the 2010 Portuguese Short 'I Don't Want to Go Back Alone' and the 2014 Film based on the short, 'The Way He Looks'

Luke gains the chance to build a boy from the ground up. Eyes, hair, muscles, brain, and even a potential personality. Luke is creating Ashton. And he will be just perfect... won't he?

Calum hadn't figured it out. Not at all. The dread from the annoying cliche of falling for your best friend turned his stomach; which was quickly transformed to butterflies when Ashton entered the room. He was so over the whole "I'm in love with you but I can't tell you for some dumb ass reason" love stories on Tumblr that he and Michael read while they were bored on the bus Instead of the happy, fluttery sensation that goes with feeling something more for a person, Calum was mad. -Mad that he felt the way he did about another male. -Mad he didn't understand or know where the feelings came from. -Mad that Ashton was dating the most beautiful girl he had (objectively) set eyes on since that one time in 6th grade when he took Gracie Holmes to that school dance. But most of all, Ashton was mad because he knew in the limelight, he'd never have the chance to be happy. Preferably with--but with, or without Ashton.

Ashton has never been the happiest and has never thought highly of himself, but soon he learns being famous, while it can be great at times, has its down sides. He gets tremendous amounts of hate on a daily basis which certainly doesn't help his self-confidence. He finds himself with an eating disorder. All of this piled on top of having a crush on his friend and bandmate, Calum, whom he is convinced will never love him back.
