Three things Calum doesn't expect after being signed to a record label and whisked away to Los Angeles to begin a world tour: 1) All arenas and venues in America to be sold out in a month. 2) A giant tour bus all to himself. 3) A new acquaintance-the drummer, Ashton-to steal his heart and run with it.

This story follows Ashton Irwin, a blind seventeen year old, as he starts High School for the first time. Having always been Home-Schooled, Ashton isn't exactly sure what to expect for his new adventure into the teenage world, and is a little nervous talking to people, especially when his Mom has to pick out his clothes for him. But making friends comes just that bit easier than Ashton had first anticipated. Ashton is ready to move on with his life after his painful divorce from Luke and the demise of the restaurant they'd built together. With the help of his protegee and sous chef Hima Singh, Ashton is ready to take on opening weekend of his new restaurant Anne-Marie's. Calum is a reporter filling in on an assignment and is surprised when his past comes back to haunt him. Hima arranges an interview that takes an unexpected turn between the two men.
