But Rick never knew before he left Kate he left her with one thing that reminds Kate of him everyday- a baby girl. Ten years later Kate is working for the NYPD, still single and Rick is a famous author in the UK, married twice with a daughter named Alexis. He decided to move back to the US for eight year old Alexis to get to know her country. Coincidentally he bumped into Kate, but Kate refuses to let him in because of the vain promise he made years ago. Will Rick find his way back to Kate? It was until my mother was killed anyway. Now I'm stuck here with a writer and a cop trying to track down the maniacs that are trying to kill me. And considering nothing is what it seems around here and I apparently didn't even know my own name, everything is getting too complicated. Now I can't tell for sure if I'm going to survive this.
