It's been two years since the war started, the empire was making lots of progress with their goal to destroy the church and the faulty nobility system. The black eagles remained loyal to Edelgard and the Adrestian Empire. However, while winning the war was their top priority, certain members of the Black Eagle Strike Force were dealing with certain other situations... Okay so for context, there's three different factions in Fodlan--The Adrestian Empire, The Holy Kingdom of Fhaergus, and the Leicester Alliance(Later the Leicester Federation). In the middle of all of them is the Church of Seiros, lead by the the three last children of the goddess--Cichol (Seteth), Cethleann (Flayn), and Seiros (Archbishop Rhea). The empire declares war on the church because the church is the cause of the nobility system. To sum it up, basically, only those who are born noble can be super rich or important. Commoners can be merchants and make a lot of money, but are unable to become royalty or climb the ranks any farther than simply a rich commoner. So the emperor of the Adrestian Empire wants to take down the church and their faulty nobility system. Based off a male Byleth joining the Golden Deer, and the player - aka me - finding out that you needed to be female to romance Claude. Then to find out that Linhardt was the only viable romance for him and kinda became obsessed. This is placed after Edelgard declares war and Lady Rhea and Byleth are missing. Five years have passed before the news of the professor's survival finds Linhardt's ears. Whispers of the Alliance leader, Claude, and his friends nearing the borders of their countries had Linhardt recalling the promise they had made five years ago. Now that he knew the professor was alive and it seemed Claude was ready to make his move, Linhardt needed to be ready for what was to come.
