Varian and Cassandra's daughter, Opal, is the chosen heir to Corona's throne. Her life in this kingdom is anything but dull. "Tales From Corona" continues the stories of Varian, Cassandra, their kids, and their friends.

In the same universe as my other Tangled story. So, slight far future spoilers. Varian is fifteen, almost sixteen, and Cassandra is twenty-two. Don't get me started on age gaps! This was perfectly fine back in their time period! Varian has redeemed himself and he's now the Royal Alchemist. He's grown a little in the past year since the Battle of Old Corona, and as a result, he's starting to attract girls his own age. Cass is totally NOT jealous! She's not! (She is.)

What if Edmond never tried to touch the Moonstone? What if he never gave the order to evacuate the Dark Kingdom? What if Gothel never "had to" kidnap the princess? What if the Coronains only took the petals of the Sundrop? By allowing the flower to grow, the darkness was kept at bay. Over the years, Corona and the Dark Kingdom had more and more disputes that soon led to war. What will happen when Rapunzel gets curious and sneaks off to the Dark Kingdom, dragging Cass with her? Modern AU : AU where Cassandra and Varian are married, and Cassandra has been having nightmares for quite a while. This takes place years after season three of Tangled the Series. Cassandra and Varian are married and have a child, Opal. Opal's character belongs 100% to @ElizabethShelby and all other characters belong to Disney, except for Eleni, who is an OC. In this AU, Opal is 7 when Rapunzel's first child is born. On the night of Rapunzel's first child's birth, some strange magic is triggered. The Great Tree has regrown, and Rapunzel becomes very ill. With not many other options, Eugene, Lance, Varian and Cassandra, and their daughter, Opal, venture to the Great Tree to try to find a cure... before time runs out. Will Varian and Cassandra be able to rise above the hate that the citizens of Corona still give them? Will Eugene be able to keep it together long enough to save Rapunzel? And, most importantly, will Opal ever find out what her parents did years ago? I'm gonna try to keep this short, most likely under ten chapters, but, hey, it might get longer than I plan. Varian still has a big crush on her and when he hears about her arrival he immediately lost his mind!!! He got excited but he wasn't any longer when he found out Cassandra brought a surprise. When it becomes evident that someone at the assembly wants the royal couple dead, it is up to Cass and Varian to uncover the culprits and save their friends.
