Sam has a secret that no one besides her best friend Nick knows about. Every May 16th, something...bizarre happens to her. She flashes forward to a random point in her future, living one full day in a life she hasn't lived yet-until she falls asleep and wakes up right back where she started. With each jump, Sam meets new people who seem to know her better than she knows herself. But no matter when-or where-she lands, Nick is always her constant. As the years unfold out of order, Sam records each glimpse of the future on cassette tapes-1999, 2004, 2008, 2014, 2020-until her final tape sends her to 2024. Piece by piece, she begins to assemble a life she hasn't lived yet-and uncover truths she may not be ready to face. Still, until the jumps stop, she has no choice but to keep going...one borrowed day at a time.

"I guess this means our story is over," he says giving Isabelle one last glance before throwing the cassette out into the cold running stream. The second it left his hands she knew she had given him the wrong answer. If she had known the real ending to this story she would have changed it all. She would have traded all of her tomorrows for just one more yesterday with him.
