I'm calling it poetry in April because April is my name. And the poetry came from my mindscape. Some of them are serious, some are sort of funny, and some make it obvious I was in Writer's Block when I made it. But anyway enjoy!

A sailor is rescued from a shipwreck by a beautiful mermaid and devotes his entire life to searching for his saviour. Distraught by calamity time and time again, he fleshes out his agony and joy through passionate letters to his mother. Only one question emerges from the whole adventure: is it worth it?

OBX {based off the tv series Outer Banks~ season 1. This story does begin before the events of the first season.} A mysterious girl washes up unconscious on the Outer Banks in none other than John B's backyard. Nobody knows her name or who she is and neither does she. She's technically not a Pogue and she's not a Kook, she's a ghost with nowhere to go, so do the same Pogue vs Kook laws and rules apply to her when she finds herself living on the island?

Talya just turning seventeen, is able to sing to attract a husband, and sing with her older sisters. She finds herself being away from her sisters for the first time when she wonders farther than normal and a dangerous storm takes her even further away. Zander Hua is thrown overboard a thousand miles from land with nothing but the clothes he has on, his cell phone, and a package of chewing gum. As fate would have it, he's floating in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. There's plenty of junk to help him survive, if he can just figure out how to use it all.
