There were legends, just legends, of magical people, of Casters. They were said to have the power to levitate items with a wave of their hand, to create earthquakes with a stomp of their foot, to go beyond the limits of regular humans. Miracles were in the air around them, and magic flowed through their veins. Over time, as the regular humans began to realize the power that Casters possessed, they became feared. Humans started to limit their magical use until it became nearly extinct, until magic became more myth than reality, until humans forgot about it completely. Casters were lost from the world, magic became a part of fairytales, and the world was purged into darkness. The human world, now without magic, started to learn about new concepts never before thought of. Humans improved technology, and, from that, advanced. They learned, they lost, they lived. The humans learned how to work, how to make an effort for everyday things. They learned about, greed, accomplishment, arrogance, intelligence, poverty, independence, and warfare. Humans lost their creativity, their freedom, and their happiness. They also lived, lived lives that were never truly filling. Yes, there was some light, but not much. A few humans still lived in peace, but most lost the peace that the Casters had brought. This is the story of a newly found caster, how she builds bonds, makes enemies, and learns to love, on a journey of a lifetime. How will she end her journey? How will she even begin it? This is the story of Nicolette Cordelia Heart and how she started a revolution. This is my own story, my plot and characters. I take pride in what I do and accept criticism. However, in Revera there is no balance between good, the Light Casters, and darkness, the Shadow Casters, and Chas is caught square in the middle. She soon learns that there is no place for anyone containing both the light and the darkness within them, and the shocking truth that if anyone in Revera ever discovered her shadow self, Chas would be thrown into the Oblivion – the world of Nightmares.
