Civilization has finally recollected itself after the deadly, man-made element called Destinium wiped out a third of humanity during World War III. A new society emerges under the guidance of Governor Azusa, ruled by a new law of peace. Destinians, people who have gained powers from enduring the toxicity of the Destinium, reign at the top on this society where peace is defined by how strong you are and how well you can protect yourself from others. 17-year-old Kou is a Destinian but rarely uses his powers due to reasons that he keeps to himself. Neither does he fight, a thing quite queer in this world. Kou questions uncertainly about this "peace" that Governor Azusa has established. It doesn't sound quite right to him--why is it so wrong to help others and rely on someone other than oneself? This frame of thought leads the young teenager on a quest to discover a sinister plot and the true meaning of peace. So I should have mentioned this like waaaay earlier, but Destinium is going on hiatus because I need to do some research for the story line. With the recent death of Steve Jobs, a company called Zelia branches out a new smartphone and computer. Using genius manipulation through advertising Zelia is able to get almost all of the world to purchase their products. On a specific date Zelia brodcasts a video to everyone who owns their product. When watched humans are then transformed into Zelia's version of perfect and are told to kill all people who are still normal. Zelia believes in the 2012 theory, and they want the world to end exactly as it started; perfect. Charity Montag hasn't been affected by the video because she fails to watch it. She must now face all the perfect people without getting killed, and find normal poeple that have survived to try to sustain the population of humble, and caring humans, not kill-crazy "perfects".

Archer Chadsey was always his daughter's guru; having home schooled her since her mother passed, and trained her in every fighting style and weapon imaginable. After the great cataclysm on earth; many of the survivors were relocated to a far off planet, that's how Acacia and her father met Brice McKenzie and his younger sister Kari. Having lost their parents in the cataclysm back on Earth; 25 year old Brice and 18 year old Kari cautiously latch on to Acacia, to later find that was a smart move. After years of competing against the many other alien races co-inhabiting the planet; in a series of deadly trials set by the eldest inhabiting race to determine the numbers in each population, the Chadseys and the McKenzies are finally chosen to compete in the trials of Arcamathion. A test of strength, agility, intelect and above all else cooperation; a deadly game from which no human competitor has ever returned... yet.
